About Camp and School Consulting: Camp and School Consulting was founded in April 2002 by Dan Gelineau, former Assistant Head of School for Non-Academic Affairs at the Harker School in San Jose, California. After a 35 year career in independent school and camp administration preparing cutting-edge programs in safety education, emergency preparedness and transportation administration, Dan founded the Company to share his knowledge with other schools, camps, youth organizations and recreation programs. In addition to his work with schools, Dan has been actively involved with the American Camping Association as an accreditation standards instructor, standards visitor, and now serves as the Northern California Section Complaint Resolution Chair. Since the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, Dan has focused a great deal of his time on updating and revising emergency plans for schools, camps and other youth organizations. He has accumulated a tremendous amount of knowledge in the areas of emergency preparedness, hazard assessment, Cal/OSHA compliance and general risk management. Dan is an experienced trainer, having conducted staff training for over 4000 participants in all areas of risk management, as well as presenting at numerous conferences and workshops. He personally conducts all CASC seminars and workshops. Camp and School Consulting is an independent training and education company, and is not affiliated with any insurance agency or emergency supply retailer. Recommendations for sources for products, when requested by clients, are solicited from schools that are pleased with their current providers, and are carefully researched. |
