Which Should We Use? – Waivers, Permissions, Assumption of Risk Agreements

What are the differences in permission slips, waivers, and assumption of risk agreements?  Which should you be using for various activities and programs? How do you balance the protection afforded by these documents with the potential fear and apprehension parents may experience?  

This workshop includes:  comparison of types of permissions, waivers and assumption of risk agreements; marketing these forms effectively to parents and other constituents; legal implications of various types of releases; drafting effective policies; effective follow-up with parents and related constituents.

  • Certain types of waivers and releases provide a higher level of informed consent and greater protection for the institution
  • It is essential to put parents at ease with the wording on these types of forms and releases
  • All of your off-campus outings and participation in special types of activities should be addressed with these forms

On-site presentation to your staff: $350.00

Individual attendance at an area presentation:  $95.00
2nd person attending from the same school / organization at an area presentation: $75.00
