On-Site Consulting - Emergency Preparedness

Camp and School Consulting has developed an emergency preparedness consulting package for schools that includes a complete assessment and review of a school’s current plans, procedures and supplies and the development of a comprehensive crisis response plan. The plan provides clear information to teachers in an easy to follow flip chart format as well as a thorough emergency preparedness plan for site administrators that includes long-range planning and assessment tools as well as specific crisis response material. This complete package includes general faculty training on crisis response and plan implementation, as well as specific training for each of the school’s crisis response teams (search and rescue, first aid and triage, security, etc.)

Specific components of the Emergency Preparedness Consulting Package:

  • Interview with site administrators regarding campus security, risk management and emergency preparedness.
  • Complete on-site safety audit of the campus, including all classrooms and campus facilities. (In addition to emergency preparedness items, the safety audit addresses campus security, traffic and parking, internal and external emergency communications, workplace safety for faculty and staff, and similar safety-related issues.)
  • Inventory of emergency supplies, and recommendations for additional items.
  • Review of existing emergency response plans and documents.
  • Preparation of emergency response flip charts for faculty and staff.
  • Preparation of crisis response binder for administrators.
  • Preparation of specific checklists for administrators and leaders of each of the school’s crisis response teams.
  • Preparation of classroom evacuation maps.
  • General faculty training on the new or revised emergency response plan.
  • Specific training for each of the school’s crisis response teams (search and rescue, first aid and triage, security, checkout, and student supervision)
  • Annual emergency drill planner and suggested drill scenarios.

Typical package price for single-site schools: $3000 - $4500
(Price varies based on size of the campus, number of response charts ordered, number of evacuation maps needed, travel distance required, etc.)
